Before the pandemic hit the U.S. Economy, business was at an all time high. For the most part, small businesses are defined by having 500 or fewer employees. According to the Small Business, (SBA) there were 30.7 million small businesses in the U.S. in 2019. According to Fundera.com’s article of 2019. 11 U.S. are ready more than ready to become big time landing spots for new small businesses this year. Fundera’s method for determining the top places are the education of the population in the cities far as college degrees and operating cost such as cost for office spaces, median home income which is important for marketing your brand costs, finally what makes the cities untapped is the number of VC (venture capital) investors in the cities, and rather than using large populated cities (more expensive cost of living), Fundera used midsized cities (500,000 residents or less. So without further ado, Fundera’s top 11 cities primed for small business growth are 11.) Scottsdale, AZ. 10.) Kansas City, MO. 9.) Henderson NV. 8.) Chandler, AZ. 7.) Arlington, TX. 6.) St. Louis, MO. 5.) Durham, NC. 4.) Cincinnati, OH. 3.) St. Paul, Min. 2.) Plano, TX. and with 57% of its population with a bachelor’s degree or higher, $64k median annual income, with just 73 VC deals at the time of this article publishing, number 1 on their list is our very own state capitol city, Madison WI.
